I'm taking an animation class and one thing that's really starting to take root in my brain is that I've got A LOT to learn.

I thought I knew enough about movement, secondary actions, composition, timing and the avoidance of tangents to do pretty well in animation.

I don't.

I think my biggest problem is that I'm not utilizing the medium. I'm trying too hard to capture real life and not create the illusion of it.

But I love it enough to keep working at it.
